About Me

Senior Master Jenny Nice was my initial instructor in Songahm Taekwondo. While training under her, I was fortunate to work closely with Senior Master Christopher Martin and Senior Master April Derrick. Under their instruction, I reached the rank of third-degree black belt before pausing for college. During my senior year at California Baptist University, I was eager to return to the organization, and with the help of Chief Master William Wacholz, I became a certified instructor. I then accepted a position at Martial Arts System in Miami, FL, and, as a Chief Instructor for MAS, I trained under Grand Master Cesar Ozuna. After my time at MAS, I opened Pursuit Martial Arts Academy in Plymouth, MN. Operating this ATA-licensed location is one of my most cherished accomplishments (I attribute part of my success in this endeavor to Grand Master Ozuna).
I’ve served as the Training Specialist for ATA International Headquarters. This position was exciting and life-changing. As the Training Specialist, I oversaw the Athlete Development program. I've been fortunate to have the opportunity to glean dynamic instructional methods and concepts from Chief Master Kevin Kaminski and Senior Master Jesse Issacs as part of this advanced training program.
Currently, I serve as the Chief Instructor of Vision Martial Arts in Morrisville, NC. While my career has been full of excitement and travel, nothing can compare to the joy gained through teaching people of all ages the transformative power of Songahm Taekwondo.
Martial Arts has carried me through several challenges, and I will forever be grateful to my parents, Trina and Harvie Haynes, for their investment and support since that fateful moment in the window in California.
